This Scottsdale hotel is getting a $22M makeover, making it the largest resort renovation in the city

Scottsdale’s residents like to look as youthful and fresh as possible, and now a resort in the city is doing the same.

Chaparral Suites in downtown Scottsdale is undergoing a $22 million makeover to become the Embassy Suites by Hilton.

The massive cost of renovations makes the project the largest resort renovation in Scottsdale.

No stone will be left unturned in the project. Every single aspect of the 15-acre area is getting redone, from the lobby to the guest rooms to the exterior.

The renovation includes projects like a mural of Camelback Mountain, 312 updated guest suites, updated pools and 60,000 square feet of updated meeting space.

“We’re going all out to make a huge impact on visitors from around the U.S. as well as residents in the Scottsdale area,” said Mark Snyder, president of Snyder Nationwide Real Estate Inc. and owner of the Chaparral Suites, soon to be Embassy Suites by Hilton Resort Scottsdale. “We’re renovating every guest room, the exterior, the lobby, the pools, and the grounds. Everything is going to be upgraded to create an authentic Scottsdale experience so that guests and convention-goers can relax and enjoy themselves while being within minutes of downtown Scottsdale.”

Alan Klein, who is a board director for the Scottsdale Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be the resort’s general manager.

Crescent Hotels & Resorts, based in Fairfax, VA, has and will handle management operations for the hotel.

The hotel is located at 5001 N. Scottsdale Road and will stay open during renovations, which are expected to be completed by spring.

The hotel will take reservations for the new Embassy Suites for July 6 and beyond of this year.
